Meer over World IPv6 Day, jaap ------------------------------------------------------------------ Participating with RIPE NCC Measurements for World IPv6 Day On 8 June, 2011, a large group of content providers will offer their content over IPv6 for a 24-hour "test flight". The goal of the Test Flight Day is to motivate organizations across the industry - Internet service providers, hardware makers, operating system vendors and web companies - to prepare their services for IPv6 to ensure a successful transition as IPv4 addresses run out. RIPE NCC will run a number of measurements on 8 June, among which three types of measurements: 1. A connectivity-test to World IPv6 day participants - the IPv6 Eye Chart 2. Connectivity and performance test to World IPv6 day participants from TTM (our Test Traffic Measurements service) 3. Relative performance of 6to4 before and during World IPv6 day Please find on RIPE Labs a description of the measurements the RIPE NCC is doing prior to and on World IPv6 Day: http://labs.ripe.net/Members/emileaben/ripe-ncc-measurements-for-world-ipv6-...
