Vandaag precies 20 jaar geleden werd deze NLNOG mailinglist door Steven Bakker aangemaakt en werd de eerste mail daarop rondgestuurd, wat het begin van NLNOG markeerde. Nu, 20 jaar later is er een community om trots op te zijn met diverse nuttige tools en projecten, gezellige en leerzame events en actieve IRC kanalen. Bedankt iedereen die hieraan bijgedragen en meegeholpen heeft! Het volgende NLNOG social event wat we gaan organiseren is uiteraard de NLNOG Nieuwjaarsdrink. Deze zal komend jaar gehouden worden op vrijdag 20 januari 2023, dus blokkeer deze avond alvast in je agenda. We hopen in ieder geval dat we na twee jaren van online borrelen we dit jaar weer gewoon bij elkaar kunnen komen! We zijn nog druk bezig een geschikte lokatie te kiezen, deze zullen we dus later pas bekend maken. Tot slot hebben we ook goed nieuws over het penningmeesterschap. Op de laatste NLNOG Dag maakte Thomas de Looff bekend dat hij zal gaan terugtreden als penningmeester. We hebben inmiddels binnen het bestuur een opvolger gevonden: Niels Bakker heeft aangegeven dat hij deze taak op zich wil gaan nemen. We zijn daar uiteraard erg blij mee en willen Thomas alvast bedanken voor al het werk dat hij voor NLNOG gedaan heeft. We hopen jullie allemaal weer te zien op 20 januari! We really hope that after two years of doing online drinks, we’ll be able to meet up in person this year! We’re busy picking a nice venue, so we’ll announce the exact location of the event later. We have some good news: after Thomas de Looff announced at the last NLNOG Day that he’ll be stepping back as treasurer, board member Niels Bakker has offered to become the new treasurerer. Of course, we’re very happy that we’ve managed to fill this position, and we’d like to thank Thomas for all the work he did for NLNOG! We hope to see you all on January 20th!
